Location Information
Founded in 1888, Utah State University is situated in the scenic Logan, Utah, and has evolved from a small Agricultural College to a thriving land-grant research university respected around the world. USU has nine colleges that offer bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in a diversity of academic programs. At the USU College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, researchers provide essential research and discovery to address questions such as feeding a growing population, addressing a changing climate, and developing sustainable practices with our given resources. The Utah Agricultural Experiment Station is part of a network of researchers and facilities at the nation’s land-grant universities and is committed to improving agriculture and natural resources for the people of Utah. Experiment station research provides science-based information used by Extension specialists and agents to assist people in every state in the nation.
The Logan area is known for its outdoor recreation opportunities: camping, fishing, mountain biking, boating, and hiking. USU is just minutes from two mountain ranges and within a half-day's drive of six national parks, including Yellowstone and Arches.
