Student Competition

A Student Competition will be held in conjunction with the 2022 Conference on Applied Statistics in Agriculture and Natural Resources. All presentations by bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. students are eligible to participate. Student presentations will be scored based on a standard set of judging criteria for contents of presentation, visual aids, scientific contribution, presenting quality, and answering questions. Be sure to consider these evaluation parameters as you prepare your presentation for the conference.

Student Competition Categories

Best Student Oral Presentation

This award will honor the best oral presentation given by a student during the conference. Each student presenter will be evaluated by a panel of judges using standardized scoring criteria. The three highest ranked oral presentations will receive a certificate and a monetary prize for first, second, and third place, respectively.

Best Student Poster Presentation

This award will honor the best poster presentation given by a student during the conference. Each student presenter will be evaluated by a panel of judges using standardized scoring criteria. The three highest ranked poster presentations will receive a certificate and a monetary prize for first, second, and third place, respectively.

Student Awards

Winners will be announced on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Judging forms with written feedback will be made available to presenters via email two weeks after the conference.
