USU Athletics Sports Nutrition Program, Graduate Assistant

We are seeking a graduate assistant to work under the direction of the Director of the USU Athletics Sports Nutrition Program to assist in the programming and execution of the USU Athletics Sports Nutrition program. The successful candidate will be awarded a stipend of $1,200 per month for two years and will be expected to work 20 hours per week August – April.  Major roles of the assignment will include assisting with the management of the fueling station, the delivery of nutrition education to individual athletes and teams through the fueling station, menu development, supervision and mentoring of under-graduate students working at the fueling station and other tasks as directed by the director and the student's graduate student committee chair. Minor roles of the assignment may include nutrition counseling, nutrition assessment and body composition assessment, and preparation and disbursement of food for teams who are traveling.  USU will waive the non-resident portion of tuition for the first year of the program, but the resident portion of tuition will be the responsibility of the student. Other financial aid opportunities may be available.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field; Registered Dietitian (RD) with active status through the Commission on Dietetics Registration and licensed Dietitian in the State of Utah or RD eligible; acceptance into the Utah State University Graduate School by spring semester of 2020.
