Biography
Keun completed his bachelor and master’s degrees in Landscape Architecture at Seoul National University. He had worked as an urban planning and policy researcher at KRIHS (Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements) from 2010 to 2014. During his doctoral study, he had also worked at the Metropolitan Research Center at the U of Utah. Currently, Keun is also a co-director of VIVID lab at USU (https://laep.usu.edu/vivid/)

Research Interests
Keun conducts behavioral research through spatial data analytics and digital technologies. Ultimately, his research aims to understand how to create healthy, just, and resilient cities through smart growth and urban nature. Specific research agendas include 1) Spatial research on smart growth (compact, mixed-use, walkable, and transit-supportive developments) and its behavioral outcomes, 2) Technology-driven behavioral research in public space (e.g., drone), and 3) Environmental justice and accessibility in urban nature.
