Visualization of Natural Hazards

Natural hazards threaten the existence of many communities, landscapes and human-environmental systems. Planners, community leaders - and the public - make decisions and policies that can influence the role of natural hazards on communities. This is particularly true when thinking about our long-term future of development, settlement and issues of equity. Our work focuses on creating a range of visualizations to help communicate impacts and study the perception of natural hazards. We use a range of different software and develop visualizations in 2D, 3D and 4D. The primary topic of focus has been on representing climate change. However, there are a range of potential applications including flooding and fire.
