Project Description
This project looks at the conservation of free-tailed bat populations in Austin, Texas, and how urban planning and design can better support populations. Through GIS mapping, the project produces a series of bat suitability maps in the Austin Metropolitan area, showing where bat populations can be supported. The project then looks at a number of planning policies and proposed development projects across Austin and examines how they can better accommodate bat populations.
