Assistant Professor Lacee Boschetto leads the Family and Consumer Sciences Education program with a philosophy that reflects her passion for teaching: "Make it Known. Make it Real. Make it Matter."
Her commitment to that philosophy serves her students and colleagues well and was recognized by the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences in naming Boschetto the 2025 College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences Teacher of the Year.
Boschetto personalizes her instruction to match students’ needs, interests, and strengths, fostering interactive discussions and critical thinking beyond traditional lectures. Her commitment to student engagement extends to online learning, where she succeeds in building a strong sense of community.
Boschetto challenges students to apply their learning outside the classroom. She helps students connect knowledge to real-world impact by broadening their perspectives and exploring societal systems.
Beyond teaching, Boschetto advances the field through research on innovative teaching practices and teacher development, authoring journal articles and other professional publications.
Boschetto integrates innovation into her teaching, mentors both students and colleagues, and actively contributes to the academic community. Her work not only shapes future educators but also impacts generations of students who will benefit from their teaching.
