Frequently Asked Questions

Can I purchase the air ticket myself?

We prefer not because international travel could be tricky for youth. We like to have the whole group travel together under the instructors and chaperone’s supervision.

Can I stay in Taiwan or go to other countries to browse for a few more days?

You may extend your stay in Taiwan or go to other countries after finishing the program if you like. However, you will need to have an adult to accompany and show the proof to secure your stay.

I have a conflict on the last few days of the trip. Can I leave a bit earlier?

You will need to participate in the entire program.

Do we live in a hotel or a dorm on the university campus?

We will stay in a hotel.

How many people share a room in the hotel?

Two people share a room in the hotel.

I want to explore Taiwan as much as I can. Can I go out at night?

Though Taiwan is a safe country to travel. We don’t recommend students to go out alone. Your instructor will let students know about daily evening activities and they will take students out as a group.

I have a food allergy, can I go?

We don’t recommend you to travel to Taiwan if you have a severe allergy medical history. We will dine in the restaurants and also experience street food and the night market. We don’t know the ingredients of street food and in the night market. We can’t prevent you from being exposed to the allergic environment. You should consult your doctor and get your medication if you have a minor allergy.

How much money should I bring with me?

You can bring about US$100 - US$200. You may also take a credit with you (preferable VISA or MASTERCARD). The traditional market and night market don’t take credit cards. Most stores take credit cards. Take a credit card with you!
