Grants

The CIB has a team of experts who can help you improve the quality of your proposals. Assistance is available in the following areas:

  • Help getting started with the required forms and basic documents for the program sponsor as well as for the USU Sponsored Programs Office.
  • Editorial assistance with the narrative portions of your proposal.
  • Budgeting assistance to help develop an appropriate budget for your project.

Grant Writing Assistance

Our CIB Grants Office support is two-fold: to simplify the process of proposal development for PIs, and to increase a proposal’s competitiveness through adherence to agency standards and through expert peer review and critique.

In order to reduce time spent by PIs on proposal logistics, we can help researchers with timeline construction, solicitation compliance, component planning and formatting, budget preparations, USU and sponsor agency form preparation, and proofreading. To maximize proposal effectiveness, Dr. Greg Podgorski, our peer reviewer, offers detailed comments and suggestions on project narrative and summary writing.

The CIB Grants Office is here to help throughout the proposal development process. To get started, contact Pam Garcia by phone (435) 760-1168 or pam.garcia@usu.edu.
