Educational Background
Biography
Born and raised in Southern California, I earned my BS, MS and DVM each with an equine emphasis at UC Davis. I travelled across the country for my veterinary externships which included Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, Performance Equine Associates, Ferguson & Associates and Pioneer Equine Hospital. I was an associate veterinarian with Unionville Equine Associates in Chester County, PA before relocating to Cache Valley and starting a new chapter with Utah State University as an educator and clinician.
Teaching Interests
As an equine veterinary practitioner, I emphasize the benefit of accepting and respecting many different facets of equine culture that varies across disciplines even if certain elements may not align with your core values. I strongly believe this exercise in personal development translates to increased versatility when serving the community and pursing career interests. Within the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, my main teaching interests lie in equine health and reproduction. My teaching interests include many different facets of veterinary medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine. I aim to educate my students in a way that they can apply practical principles and techniques to achieve meaningful results.
