Biography

Dr. Polejaeva is currently a Professor. She joined the ADVS department in April 2011 as an Associate Professor. She is a member of the Veterinary Diagnostics and Infectious Disease USTAR team and Utah Collaborative Arrhythmia Program.

Research Interests

The area of her research interest includes:
• Production of transgenic animals using somatic cell nuclear transfer technology (cloning) for biomedical and agricultural applications;
• Improve efficiency of Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT) through understanding molecular mechanism of epigenetic reprogramming;
• Development of accurate pre-implantation embryo assessment methods using combination of individual embryo culture system, imaging and gene expression/metabolomic analysis
