In Vivo Antiviral Testing
The IAR routinely evaluates antiviral efficacy using in vivo models. We have a large selection of viruses and models available, including BSL-3, BSL-3+, and select agent viruses. The viruses listed below have been well-characterized in each of the specific animals. We have decades of experience evaluating antiviral efficacy, immune responses to viral infection, pharmacokinetic studies, cytokine and biomarkers of viral disease, and maximum tolerated dose studies. Please contact Michelle Mendenhall (michelle.mendenhall@usu.edu) or Dr. Brett Hurst (brett.hurst@usu.edu) for details and pricing. Below is a description of the animal models available for in vivo screening.
