Sophia Riffo-Jenson

Biography

Sophia was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and went off to college in Hawai’i where she graduated with a degree in environmental studies from Chaminade University of Honolulu. Her experiences in Hawai’i sparked her love and passion to take care of our earth. During multiple internships, she worked hands-on to restore habitat for native plants and wildlife, and on a kalo farm, which is a staple food crop of Hawaiian culture. Upon returning to Utah, she knew she wanted to work in a field that connects people to the environment while improving the health and sustainability of the local community. She is currently working as a designer for a landscaping company in Park City. In her free time she enjoys hiking, spending time with friends and family, gardening, ceramics, and playing with animals.
