Biography

Ames (Amirhossein) is a creative Ph.D. student in the Visualization, Instrumentation, and Virtual Interaction Design (VIVID) Laboratory at LAEP. With a bachelor's and master's degree in architecture with an interdisciplinary research interest, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his studies. Having worked as a researcher, designer, and lecturer for over seven years, Ames has honed his skills in both professional and academic settings. His research focuses on Visual Impact Assessment (VIA) and its effects on people's perception of built and natural environments. To enhance his investigations, he is actively exploring the application of machine learning at Utah State University. Ames's work aims to optimize the interplay between the built and natural environments and human well-being.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Ames is also a skilled inline skater and swimmer, showcasing his talent and passion for physical expression.
