Speaker Bio:
Todd Johnson was born in Willmar, Minnesota in 1952 into a family with two older brothers. His oldest brother Craig taught landscape architecture at USU for 42 years and suggested that Todd consider becoming a landscape architect. Todd received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning degree from USU in 1976. After working in Calgary Alberta for four years, he moved to Boston and received a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard University. In 1984 Todd co-founded the firm Civitas with USU alum and classmates Mark Johnson and Ann Mullins. After ten years at Civitas Todd joined Design Workshop/Denver, becoming a partner, and practicing there until 2013. Teaching at Utah State has been Todd’s professional passion for the past ten years. Todd has two grown children Natalie and Sam, and a grandson named Raphael.
