Dr. Amber Williams Joins OPDD Faculty

Utah State University is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Amber Williams as the newest member of the Outdoor Product Design & Development faculty. Dr. Williams brings a wealth of teaching experience to the program, as well as a strong expertise in apparel and soft goods design and construction.

Dr. Williams' dissertation focused on sustainability education, and she is eager to bring that focus into the classes she will be teaching, including Sustainable Design and Operations, Design Studios, among other courses. This emphasis on sustainability aligns with the program's mission to produce graduates who are well-prepared to design and develop innovative and sustainable outdoor products that meet the needs of consumers and the environment.

Dr. Williams has a deep understanding of the principles of sustainable design and how they can be applied to outdoor product development. She will be working closely with students to teach them how to design products that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing, but also circular and socially responsible.

The Outdoor Product Design & Development program at Utah State University is known for its strong emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world experience. With Dr. Williams' addition to the faculty, students will have even more opportunities to gain valuable skills and knowledge that will prepare them for successful careers in the outdoor industry.

The university and the program are thrilled to have Dr. Williams on board and are looking forward to the contributions she will make to the program and the students. With her expertise and passion for sustainability and design, Dr. Williams is sure to be an asset to the program and the university.
