Congratulations to Dr. Holly Clement in her new role as director of USU’s Equine Program!

Dr. Clement is an accredited veterinarian specializing in equine reproduction, and she’s proven herself ready to lead the talented folks who have made the program the success that it is.

Utah State University’s Equine Breeding Program began more than a decade ago with the purchase of around 10 mares. The program has expanded greatly since then, and its annual horse sale now raises well over $100,000 which is reinvested into equine reproduction education.

With the ribbon-cutting of the Robert Adams Equine-Human Science Arena last fall and the recent acquisition of the Bastian Agricultural Center in South Jordan, the equine program is poised to expand its services and learning opportunities even further. We’re lucky to have Holly take the “reins” of the program at this exciting time for Utah State and the Animal Dairy and Veterinary Sciences Department.
