Danielle Theimann

The United States Department of Agriculture's Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program has awarded plant, soils and climate graduate student Danielle Theimann a grant for identification of effective cover crop varieties and integrated management practices for weedy and invasive plant suppression in the Western United States.

"Dani has conducted research on cover crops specifically for controlling some of the toughest weeds in irrigated cropping systems in Utah," professor Steve Young said of Theimann. "Her effort and dedication to finding what works for growers has been nothing short of amazing. I am confident that through her research, we will greatly advance our knowledge on specific cover crops that can be used as part of an integrated weed management approach that so many growers are seeking out and beginning to adopt on their farms."

Congratulations to Danielle on receiving this grant!
