Professor Kim Joins Ecosystem Project Alongside NCHU Professors

Dr. Man-Kuen Kim joined the project "Cultural Ecosystems Services from Agroecosystem in Nantou County in Taiwan" with NCHU Drs. Chifumi Takagi, Kuo-Jung Chao, and Wen-Ching Chen. They investigated the value of cultural ecosystem services from farmland and estimated that organic farming practice requires high cost, with a total value of well-managed farmland reaching NT$2.6 billion. Dr. Kim also worked with NCHU Dr. Chifumi Takagi and Ahn Chung (former IBPA/NCHU student) on uncovering the major drivers influencing consumers’ willingness to pay for organic coffee in Taiwan.
