USU Applied Economics Professor Mentors 2-NCHU M.S. Graduate Students through Defense

Dr. Man-Keun Kim (APEC, USU) has supervised two MS graduate students, Jinny Punnaros Pisarn and Jennie Trang Vo from International Master Program of Agriculture (IMPA) at NCHU. Both Jinny and Jennie successfully defended their MS theses on January 18, 2021 with Dr. Kim attending remotely (pictured in upper left corner). Jinny’s thesis is titled “Consumers’ Attitudes toward the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA): A Case Study in NCHU Organic Farmers’ Market” which identifies consumers’ perspectives towards the CSA and highlights its significant implications for producers and legislators. Jennie’s thesis is titled “Consumers’ Preferences for Fresh Food Box – A Complete Study on Taiwanese Consumers using Interval Regression and Discrete Choice Experiment” which investigates the willingness to pay for the food box scheme in Taiwan.
