History

The Nephi Dryland Research Farm is the oldest continuing dryland station in North America. Research in dryland farming began at Nephi in 1903 and continues today as new dryland cereal grains at developed and rangeland forages are evaluated.

The farm is currently leased by the USDA-ARS Forage and Range Research Laboratory, based on USU’s Logan campus.
