Undergraduate Admission Requirements

  • New freshmen admitted to USU in good standing
  • Transfer students from outside institutions need a 2.5 GPA
  • Transfer students from other USU majors need a 2.5 GPA

High school students planning to major in landscape architecture may enhance their preparation with courses in art, natural sciences, social sciences, and math through college algebra.

Any student admitted to USU is eligible for enrollment in lower-division LAEP courses (freshman and sophomore). Declared LAEP majors are encourages to meet with our academic advisor early in their freshman year to help them make plans to complete the required courses need to be eligible for matriculation into the upper-division LAEP courses (junior and senior). At the end of the sophomore year, a matriculation process will determine which students will continue in the BLA program. For more information on matriculation, visit our matriculation page.
